Cefuroxime and Clavulanic Acid Tablets
TANIZ CV (500/125 mg) Tablet is an antibiotic consisting of cefuroxime and clavulanic acid. It is used to treat bacterial infections affecting the lungs, nose, throat, ears, skin and urinary tract. It works by interfering with the formation of the bacterial cell wall and eventually kills them. Taniz CV (500/125 mg) Tablet is not effective against infections caused by viruses.
Taniz CV (500/125 mg) Tablet has some common side effects such as diarrhoea, stomach pain, headache, weakness, nausea, and vomiting. As this medicine may cause dizziness or drowsiness, avoid driving vehicles or operating machines. Do not take this medicine if you are previously allergic to it.
Contact your doctor if any side effects are seen for a longer period. Taniz CV (500/125 mg) Tablet is not recommended for use in children below 12 years of age. Taniz CV (500/125 mg) Tablet can be taken with or without food. For the ease of remembering, take this tablet around the same time every day.
Once an antibiotic is started, it is always recommended to finish the entire course of treatment. Do not take antibiotics without consulting your doctor because unnecessary use of an antibiotic can reduce its effectiveness. Taniz CV (500/125 mg) Tablet may interact with live vaccines. Hence, maintain a time gap of at least 2 hours between administration.
Inform your doctor if you have any liver, kidney, seizure or gastrointestinal diseases before taking this medicine. If you are pregnant, planning pregnancy or are breastfeeding, It is recommended to take this medicine only after consulting your doctor.
