Fexofenadine and montelukast combination tablets are used to treat allergy symptoms (such as hay fever) and manage symptoms of asthma and chronic hives (urticaria). This combination provides dual action for comprehensive relief.

Description

Allergic Rhinitis (Hay Fever): The medication provides relief from symptoms associated with seasonal and perennial allergies, including sneezing, runny or stuffy nose, itchy or watery eyes, and itching of the nose or throat.
Asthma Management: It helps to prevent asthma symptoms and reduce inflammation in the airways, making breathing easier. It is not for treating acute asthma attacks, and a rescue inhaler should always be available for sudden breathing problems.
Chronic Urticaria (Hives): It is effective in treating chronic skin allergies by reducing itching, redness, and swelling associated with hives.
Exercise-induced Bronchoconstriction: It is also prescribed to prevent breathing difficulties that are triggered by exercise.
How It Works
This combination medicine includes two different types of drugs that work together:
Fexofenadine: This is a non-drowsy antihistamine that blocks the action of histamine, a chemical messenger in the body responsible for immediate allergy symptoms like sneezing and itching.
Montelukast: This is a leukotriene receptor antagonist that blocks the action of another set of chemical messengers called leukotrienes. Leukotrienes cause inflammation, swelling, and increased mucus production in the airways and nose.
Important Considerations
